Eight Principles of Fun

Wednesday, July 18, 2007

I once failed an interview because of the stupid question: "For you, what is fun?"

It's not that I don't know what fun is, its just that my answer would not be appropriate for the situation. If I said fun is slouching, watching DVD all day and doing IT, just imagine how the reaction of the interviewer would be.

So, just to be safe, if ever Im asked again of what fun is. I did a bit of a research (and had fun, LOL) and now I know what fun is! Fun! Fun! All the way! LOL.

This is sooo fun guys!

Thanks to 8 Principles!

Shampoo Poses a Life Threat?

Sunday, June 17, 2007

A recent hysteria on the internet pushed me to post this. Just recently I received an email from a friend who I think i just concern with the public health. The writer of the email stressed that he has nothing against any shampoo brand that was mentioned.

The story begins with a little science definition. Formaldehyde. Otherwise known as "Formalin." Formaldehyde is a chemical used in manufacturing and chemical industries, and as a preservative by anatomists, embalmers, and pathologists. Being exposed to formaldehyde may increase the risk of developing leukemia and brain cancer.

Another definition says that it is a contaminant consumer household products. It is a extremely potent carcinogen and respiratory irritant and may appear as a preservative. Products containing this chemical should be unacceptable.

What products?

Shampoo by Unilever and Colgate-Palmolive. Check it out yourself!

The writer of the email, called Unilever Customer care and confirmed that they do use Formaldehyde but in a minuscule amount.

However, the writer reiterated that even though the product contains small amount, continuous use may still contribute to us getting sick.
