Money, money, money, ain't in funny?

Thursday, November 30, 2006

Pero this one... totoo to!

Some facts about my Tito Bill:
  1. Bill Gates earns US$250 every SECOND, that's about US$20 Million a DAY and US$7.8 Billion a YEAR!
  2. If he drops a thousand dollar, he won't even bother to pick it up because the 4 seconds he picks it, he would've already earned it back.
  3. The US national debt is about 5.62 trillion, if Bill Gates were to pay the debt by himself; he will finish it in less then 10 years.
  4. He can donate US$15 to everyone on earth but still be left with US$5 Million for his pocket money.
  5. Michael Jordan is the highest paid athlete in US. If he doesn't drink and eat, and keeps up his annual income i.e. US$30 Million, he'll have to wait for 277 years to become as rich as Bill Gates is now.
  6. If Bill Gates was a country, he would be the 37th richest country on earth.
  7. If you change all of Bill Gate's money to US$1 notes, you can make a road from the earth to moon, 14 times back and forth. But you have to make that road non-stop ! for 1,400 years, and use a total of 713 BOEING 747 planes to transport all the money.
  8. Bill Gates is 40 this year. If we assume that he will live for another 35 years, he has to spend US$6.78 Million per day to finish all his money before he goes to heaven.
  9. If Microsoft Windows users can claim US$1 for every time their computers hang because of Microsoft Windows, Bill Gates will be bankrupt in 3 years.

Haaaay... How I wish I am as rich as my Tito Bill.

But the thought of having all those money treasure scares me. Its like the more money you have the more problem you see. You'll be conscious of your security, the way you dress, the way you speak and more security. Its like the money you'll be earning will be useless. But come to think of Bill, he seems to be a happy man -- contradicting the saying that most of the rich people aren't happy at all.

Noong student pa si Bill, he is one of the geeks. Isa sya sa mga unnoticed people sa university and I think he was even bullied. Pero ngayon, yung mga bullies na yun they work for him... Kaya I agree with this quote:

"Don't mess with the geeks, because someday they will be your bosses."

-anonymous

Back to the main topic... (wait what is my main topic???)

Let's just pretend that my main topic is that I have 500 Million pesos (I can't handle 1 Billion or more). What am I going to do with it???

I won't be a hypocrite and tell you that I am going to donate half of my money to the church or whatever foundation. I won't. Instead I am going to open a clothing store (yeah), probably something that would compete with Team Manila. At kapag nagsisimula nang lumago ang business ko, then that will be the time na mag dodonate ako.

Malamang bibili rin ako ng kotse. Pero I have no idea what car I should buy... Maybe the RAV4 2006 model or a Lexus or a Jaguar. My personal adviser would help me on that. *wink*

I'll also implement a wireless LAN throughout our house or should I say mansion???

TIVO and HDTV would be my entertainment companion. Everything would be automated careof Siemen's PLC technology. From the lighting to the ambience to the window panes and the motion sensor intruder system.

Huhuhuhu! And *that* day is coming near na!

Madalang din akong mag YM, or kung online man ako naka-invisible ako or may status na busy.

-----

Hehehe.

Will it be a phone with iPod capabilities or iPod with mobile phone capabilities?

Rob meets Rob

Friday, November 17, 2006

"Pssssst! Rob! Rob!"

"Huh??? Sinong tumatawag sakin? Nasan Ka??"

"Nandito ako sa loob ng utak mo! Wow ha... in fairness maluwag dito parang concert hall!"

"WHATEVER! Anong name mo?"

"Rob."

"Rob? Rob What?"

"Ah basta! Ako si Rob... and sometimes that's all you need to know."

"Ang taray mo naman..."

"WHATEVER! Oh kamusta yung nagdaang semester mo?"

"Ayun. Kung irarank ko from 1-10, 10 as the highest I'd give it a 6."

Minsan kasi gusto ko yung phasing ko ang nasusunod, although i've been open for suggestions.

Naniniwala ka ba sa kasabihang 'A battalion of sheeps lead by a lion would beat the battalion of lions lead be a sheep?' "

"Boom tarat tarat boom tarat tarat..."

"HOY!"

"Ay Sorry na LSS lang! Ano ulit tanong mo?"

"GRRRRR!!!! Naniniwala ka ba sa kasabihang 'A battalion of sheeps lead by a lion would beat the battalion of lions lead be a sheep?' "

"Yeah... Dati sabi ko I would be a lion, at magpapaka agressive sa mga bagay.

You can say that you've chickened out... Rob... ... ... ... Maraming nagtiwa sayo... ... Isn't that enought for you not to quit?"

"Ang O.A. mo tsong!

"OH? talaga? Edi good for you!"

"Good for us.

"Ahhh... Maliban dun...?"

"Nakikinig ng Pinoy Dream Academy Vol 1 and 2. Wahihihihihihi!"

"HAHAHAHAHA!

Ayeee! Feeling mo naman naiintindihan mo yun?!"

"Hoy! Mr. Rob Ruiz! For your information, naiintindhan ko talaga yun!"

"WHATEVER!"

Therapeutic (tama ba sfeeling????)"

"Kamusta na kayo ni ****?"

"OK naman, magkatext kami lagi... CHANGE TOPIC!"

"Ahihihihi! Sino ba nakakakilala sa tunay na ****?"

"AKO lang."

"Baka naman imbento mo lang yan ha!"

"Sapok gusto mo?"

"Tanong lang nemen!!!! Wag kang guilty!"

"CHANGE TOPIC!"

"Uy Rob, hinaan mo yung sounds ng headphone mo, naririndi ako dito eh."

"Ay sorry Rob."

"Sino favorite blogger mo as of the moment ha?!"

"Uy good question!

"Natural kasi sya magsulat, tsaka matapang. Matapang at the same time nagpapakita ng weakness. Lam mo yun?

"Haaaayyy... O sya, tinatawag na ako ni mama."

"Putangina! Ilan ba kayo jan?!"

"Waahahahahaha! Joke lang!"

High School Musical

Wednesday, November 15, 2006

I just watched it a few minutes ago...

Troy and Gabriella, two complete strangers, both go to a New Year's Eve Party. They are chosen to sing "Start of Something New". Afterwards, they introduce themselves and exchange numbers, promising to call each other.

Gabriella's mother's company transfers to Albuquerque, not knowing that Troy actually attends her new school. Troy is also the star player of the basketball team, of which his father, Jack Bolton, is the coach.

During homeroom, Ms. Darbus, the theater teacher, announces the upcoming auditions for the winter musical. Troy sees Gabriella at the back and tries to call her. Her cellphone rings and leads to Sharpay, Ryan, Troy, Gabriella, Taylor and Chad getting detention.

After homeroom, Troy and Gabriella meet and look at the signup sheet for the auditions. Sharpay finds them and assumes that Gabriella wants to sign up. She and Ryan put an article about Gabriella's academic achievements into Taylor's locker. During detention, Taylor approaches Gabriella and invites her to join the school's scholastic decathlon team.

As a result of the detention both Troy and Chad miss their basketball practice, much to the annoyance of Coach Bolton. During a confrontation between the coach and Ms. Darbus it is made clear that neither of them has any real respect for the work that the other does. Troy eventually takes part in practice but he can't seem to stop thinking about Gabriella, which is reflected by the whole team singing "Get'cha Head in the Game".

On the day of the auditions, Chad tells Troy that there is a basketball practice during free period. However, Troy chooses to go to the auditions instead. He meets Gabriella backstage and both watch a series of bad auditions, followed by Sharpay and Ryan's rendition of "What I've Been Looking For". Gabriella suddenly decides to audition, however, Ms. Darbus tells her that she is too late.

After a confrontation with Sharpay, Kelsi, the composer of the musical, trips and drops her notes. Troy and Gabriella rush to help her and end up singing a slower and more correct (according to Kelsi) version of the song "What I've Been Looking For". Ms. Darbus watches them from behind a wall and decides to give them a chance, inviting then to perform at the callbacks. When Sharpay finds out, she is furious.

With the captain of the Wildcats daring to try something new, it seems many students are losing their inhibitions and revealing their true desires to their friends, much to the annoyance of Sharpay. In the cafeteria most of the school breaks out into song singing, "Stick to the Status Quo". While Sharpay is having a stroll through the cafeteria, Gabriella trips and her lunch spills all over Sharpay's jacket. Sharpay informs Ms. Darvis that Troy and Gabriella are trying to destroy the musical. Ms. Darbus informs Coach Bolton and ends up having yet another argument with him.

Chad and Taylor decide that they need to do something and devise a plan. The basketball team tricks Troy into saying that Gabriella isn't important while she watches events through a Wi-Fi link. Gabriella is hurt and sings "When There Was Me and You", later telling Troy that she isn't going to do the auditions anymore.

After seeing how Troy and Gabriella no longer get along, Chad and Taylor decide to tell them the truth. However, Gabriella still refuses to forgive Troy, until he turns up at her balcony singing the harmony of "Start of Something New".

In order to secure their places in the musical, Sharpay and Ryan persuade Ms. Darbus to change the callbacks time to coincide with the championship game and the scholastic decathlon. When Kelsi finds out, she and the others are devastated, but the scholastics and the jocks work together to come up with a plan.

On the day itself, Taylor and Gabriella send a virusinto the system to disrupt the basketball game, then boil a bad-smelling chemical to stall the decathlon. Troy and Gabriella then run to the theater.

Sharpay and Ryan finish performing "Bop to the Top". But when Troy and Gabriella show up after Ms. Darbus called their names, she tells them, again, that they are too late. People start streaming into the theater to support them, giving Ms. Darbus no choice but to let them perform "Breaking Free". In the end, Ms. Darbus gives the parts to Troy and Gabriella. After winning both the scholastic decathlon and the basketball game. Gabriella runs up to Troy and they try to kiss but are interupted by Chad, who is trying to give the game ball to Troy but ends up giving the ball to Kelsi. Jason Cross helps her shoot a basket and then the entire school gathers in the gym to perform "We're All in This Together". After the credits roll, Sharpay is seen complementing Zeke on his cookies. She hugs him and they move off the camera as Zeke promises to make her a creme burlee.

Some Trivia:

Factual error: When Troy and Gabriella swap cellphones to give each other their number, they take a picture and put in a number. Both Troy and Gabriella put in less than 6 keystrokes, while the US standard for cellphone numbers is 7 digits.

Continuity: The post-callback basketball scene's countdown clock isn't accurate. If you try counting with it (using your DVD player's time indicator), you'll notice that it reaches 0 by the time that the ball's being passed to Troy. That's considering no shot is done in slow motion.

Audio problem: Since the songs were pre-recorded, in We're all in this together, you can hear either troy or Gabriella's voice signing background, not matching the others' lyrics, but their lips are moving to the same words as all the others.

Of Course a little thanks to:

Philippine Idolness

Monday, November 13, 2006

Last Friday nagpunta kami sa Album tour ng Philippine Idol, ang Philippine Idol: The Final 12. First time kong makita sila lahat ng personal at ng malapitan.

Yung parang nangangandidato. Eeewness talaga!

Hope you don't have to wear a dress! LOL! Haha!

The fun begins...

Now that's a brilliant idea!

I have Mandarin classes. Yeah. Freakin' Mandarin classes.

What in the world had the administrators, dean and department heads got into their heads to give us mandarin classes. We ain't gonna be engineers just to be part of Mano Po.

Speaking of Mano Po, how many Mano Pos do they plan to film? Like do they want Mano Po to be like Star wars?! I mean 1 to 2 sequels are fine but 5 mother effing sequels. That is waaaay over dose of Mano Pos. We'll end up all getting menopause. LOL.

Forgive me readers, I just had my daily dose caffeine.

Anyways, back to our Mandarin class. Our professor already thought us a few things like counting, signs and pronunciation. If I we're to compare him with my Nihonggo prof he is just a dumi at his finger tips. he didn't even told us his name.

Sheesh.

OK... to tell you the truth. I don't feel like posting today. hehe. so yeah. Let us just all Laugh our ass off!

Magandang (or so I think) simula (siguro) ang maaga (or late lang ng konti) kong pagpasok sa Lunes (bukas or kahapon depende kung anong araw mo to binasa)

Para mag-enroll. (Wow Rob! Maagap ka!)

UPDATE: November 6, 2006 (Monday) As of 0945HRS (9:45 am), Manila time, ako ay opisyal na enrolled na bilang estudyante ng San Sebastian College - Recoletos de Cavite, Inc.

At tayo ay mag roll on the floor, laughing.
