Light has shed its hope at our darkest hour

Sunday, March 26, 2006

An overly dried, thin and bony hand pinched my mom's arm. For a second she thought it was someone else's hands.. but when she looked, she saw an old man looking at him with his eyes speaking of tiredness. It was my grandfather, still lying on a hospital bed. He's been going in and out of the hospital for almost half a month now, ever since that morning when my aunt discovered him naked sitting on the floor.
"God must have heard our prayers," said my mom. "Your gramp's seizures had stop and he can speak some words now." "The phone call must have helped," I said. "I believe in miracles, and I just saw one."
Although the doctor had admitted to us that we should be ready for whatever might happen, we are still hoping for a few more years to spend with my mom's dad.
